Mount Hope, West Virginia (WV) 
Mount Hope, WV was incorporated in 1895. The business offices of more than twenty coal mining companies were located in the town during the 1920's. For more information on recreation near Mt. Hope, see our Guide to the New River Region.

The historic Mount Hope Mountainair Hotel on Main Street - circa 1930's.


The Mount Hope Hotel later became Mount Hope Mountainair. Both were operated by the New River Company - circa 1910.
